About
Truss bridges are the strongest of all bridges. How do women with ADHD find the nugget of satisfaction, peace, and freedom when the struggle is so fierce—career, kids, ALL the work at home—while also living in this world not made for their beautiful, wild ADHD brains? I support women with ADHD who are tired of asking for help from their spouses. It's a bridge to that big, glorious, goal, the inner calm of our dreams. And it’s right there.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you coach non-ADHD partners, parents, and "regular" ADHDers?
I've seen the need for a variety of paths in ADHD coaching. My practice is unique in that I often coach clients who don't have ADHD but their partners do. See below for more details!
1) My partner has ADHD.
This client may or may not have ADHD but they do have a spouse or partner with ADHD. This coaching often supports someone who feels under water with household tasks and finds conflict with their ADHD partner around this work and navigating the challenges of an ADHD in the mix. Sometimes, it's slicing through the fog of wondering: is my partner using ADHD as an excuse or am I demanding too much and not understanding their different brain?
2) My child has ADHD.
This client, too, may or may not have ADHD. They're navigating what it's like to manage parenting with ADHD in the mix. Coaching topics are always led by you, the client (see "client-led coaching" in another FAQ.) As an example, one coaching session can focus on how to avoid losing one's temper with the kids. Or perhaps it's walking through one scenario with your child and understanding the ADHD in the mix.
3) I have ADHD.
This is your traditional ADHD coaching. Pick a topic! Want to work on improving your sleep? Procrastination problems? You lead. I ask the questions to help guide you but you find your answers and learn more about ADHD along the way.

What's "client-led" coaching?
It's improtant that I as a coach don't sit back and tell you what to do. I ask the right questions to help you find the answer for YOU.
Okay, Sara Lerner. Who ARE you?
I'm an ADHD coach, mom, journalist, and communications professional in Seattle. I have a child with hyperactive ADHD and one with inattentive ADHD. My kids' co-parent has ADHD, too, and that relationship was the catalyst that pushed me into coaching. I spent the majority of my career in public radio as an investigative reporter, documentarian, news anchor, and producer. (I love live radio and I can't keep away, so I still show up on the air from time to time!) After a lovely career in journalism, I shifted to telling stories in the corporate space, mostly for Microsoft and Amazon.
Before I went into journalism, I considered a career in mental health. Now that I'm an ADHD coach, I have the most incredible privilege of finding a career home for all the things I love. I couldn't keep away. And guess what? I'm a trained interviewer. I honed that skill over nearly two decades in radio and I mentored others on techniques. Who knew, ADHD coaching is interviewing, too. I don't tell you what to do. I ask the right questions so you find the answers for yourself.

Do I need to be diagnosed with ADHD to coach with you?
Aboslutely not. Clients come to me all along the range of their ADHD journey. Diagnosed years ago or just now realizing they might have ADHD. And here's fun fact: most of the tips that work for ADHDers also work for a nuerotypical brain.
