Thinking About Separating — But Afraid to Make the Wrong Move?
I help people who need clarity, emotional support and structure. I can help you now! Coaching now can save you thousands of dollars!
Hello, I'm Tom!
You don’t have to decide everything today. I help partners separate with clarity, dignity, and a plan — with or without children.
I provide Coaching beyond legal advice for Divorce or Separation (Unmarried or Married) and Co-Parenting. Although I am not an attorney and do not provide legal advice, navigating Divorce or Separation isn't just about paperwork and courtrooms; it's about emotions, fears, and finding strength amidst uncertainty.
As someone who has walked the path of divorce, I understand the overwhelming emotions and challenges it brings--especially when family is involved. Throughout my own journey, as a former attorney, although I fully understood the legal aspects of my experience, I also recognized a critical gap in emotional guidance. That's why I'm here--to fill that gap and offer the support I wish I'd had during the toughest parts of my divorce.
Divorce is a journey filled with complexities, uncertainties, and emotions. You don’t have to go through a divorce alone. My dedicated separation coaching services are tailored to support, empower and strengthen you at every stage of your partner separation.
As your Partner Separation Coach I’ll walk beside you through change, creating a future in which you’ll truly thrive. You deserve guidance, understanding, and a trusted companion on this journey. As a non-lawyer Coach, I go far beyond the legal services that your attorney will handle and I provide you with a reassuring presence, a compassionate voice, and the resources you need to advocate for yourself and your family.
Educational Support
I can assist you with reading over documents and discussing co-parenting education, and I can further help to clarify, advocate, and connect you with trusted referral partners if necessary who can provide you with any needed licensed professional services and advice.
Emotional Support
I provide comfort during the discomfort of divorce. I aim to alleviate the stress, anxiety, and overwhelm that accompany this challenging transition.
Bridging the Gaps
I can help you create a flowing and communicative bridge with your divorce team (attorney, paralegal, therapists, mediators, case managers, domestic conciliators, etc.).
Organizing Your Money and Finances
I can help you save thousands by emotionally preparing you for your attorney or mediator. Helping you understand and ensuring that your emotional separation needs are met and safeguards are in place so you spend less time in court. Making sure you have a solid financial plan, either through discussions, or, if necessary, by providing you with referrals to licensed professionals to make sure you get all you deserve, and, so you are emotionally prepared to engage in discussions with your attorney and divorce team regarding any proposed Marital Settlement Agreements or other Alternatieve Dispute Resolution Recommendations.
Helping Clients Adjust to Their New Life
Transition and recovery services to get you to your next place to live and to the career change you seek. Helping guide you to the new relationships that you have always desired. Help you identify your personal and professional goals. Boundary setting so your ex doesn’t consume you. Documentation assistance for helping you better understand post divorce enforcement. Help you learn more about Co-parenting and parallel-parenting.
Life in order
Divorce / Separation can leave your life feeling chaotic and uncertain. We’ll work together to rebuild structure, clarity, and routine so you feel grounded, focused, and capable of moving forward with confidence.
Self compassion
You’re not supposed to have it all figured out. You’ll learn how to treat yourself with the same kindness and grace you’d offer a close friend, especially when things feel messy or hard.
Core values
Divorce / Separation gives you a chance to redefine what really matters. We’ll identify your core values so you can rebuild your life in a way that feels aligned, purposeful, and true to you.
Trust in yourself
One of the hardest parts of moving past separation is doubting your decisions. You’ll rebuild trust in your intuition and inner voice, so you can stop second-guessing and start stepping into your next chapter with certainty.

Financial & Estate Planning Coach
Hi, I’m Tom!
Although I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, Financial & Estate Planning isn’t just about legal paperwork and courtrooms; it’s about fear, uncertainty, and other emotions and reasons that make us want to avoid thinking about our final or end of life wishes.
According to a 2024 survey by Caring.com, only 32% of Americans have a will or estate plan, down 6% from 2023.
As someone who has engaged in estate planning myself more than once, both before my first Marriage and following my Divorce and Remarriage, I understand the overwhelming emotions, challenges and expenses it brings. Throughout my own journey, as a former attorney, although I fully understood the legal aspects of my Estate Planning experience, I also recognized a critical gap in emotional and financial guidance throughout the entire process.

- As your Financial & Estate Planning Coach
You deserve guidance, understanding, and a trusted companion as part of your planning. As a non-lawyer Coach, I go far beyond the legal advice, proceedings or paperwork that you either choose and prepare yourself (DIY), or that an attorney would handle and provide you if you choose to hire an attorney. As a Financial & Estate Planning Coach, I can provide not only a reassuring presence and a compassionate voice, but I can also provide you with non-legal administrative, educational and clerical support services.
- Educational Support
I can assist you with a broad overview class on how Kansas probate works, and a general, not personal, class on the difference between a will and a trust, on how powers of attorney work general information, and provide you with a general comparison and online locations of multiple document form types that you can choose as (DIY) forms for estate planning as long as I do not recommend that you choose a particular form. I can further help to clarify, advocate, and connect you with trusted referral partners if necessary who can provide you with any needed licensed professional services and advice.
- Emotional Support
I can provide support to help alleviate the financial confusion, stress, fragmentation and some of the expense associated with financial and estate planning.
- Bridging the Gaps
I can help you create a flowing and communicative bridge with your estate planning team (attorney, CPA, bankers, insurance companies, brokers, financial advisors, trustees, executors, etc.).
- Organizing Your Money, Finances, Assets, Beneficiaries, etc.
I can help you save a great deal in legal fees by preparing you for your attorney or helping you feel comfortable in preparing your own estate planning documents using online resources of your own choosing; helping you organize and put together lists of financial and other assets and helping you gather other needed information and lists to be used in the estate planning process.
If you count yourself among the many Americans who don't have a will, estate plan or way to communicate your last wishes in writing, you'll be happy to know that there's a number of estate-planning activities you can accomplish on your own.
Even if you believe you don't have enough assets or can't pay for anyone to help you with estate planning, estate planning is about more than deciding where your stuff ends up when you die. It's also about honoring your final wishes if you cannot act or make decisions at any point.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a divorce coach do?
A divorce coach helps you navigate the emotional, logistical, and personal challenges of divorce. I'm here to support you through decision-making, self-reflection, and rebuilding your life--so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Is a divorce coach worth it?
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure about what's next, a divorce coach can make a huge difference. Clients often say coaching helped them avoid costly mistakes, manage emotional stress, and feel stronger than they ever imagined.
How is a divorce coach different from a therapist?
Psychotherapy is focused on addressing mental health issues and developing skills for coping with difficult emotions. Divorce coaching is focused on helping you align your life with your needs and values, which we accomplish through deep inquiry, radical self-compassion and building a plan for the future.
Do I need a divorce coach if I have a divorce lawyer?
Yes. Your lawyer handles the legal side, but a divorce coach supports your mindset, emotions, and everyday decision-making. Together, we make sure you’re not just surviving the process, you’re growing through it.
How long should I work with a divorce coach?
Most clients work with me for 3–6 months, depending on where they are in the divorce process. After that, many choose to continue with lighter support as they step fully into their next chapter.
What happens in a divorce coaching session?
Each session is unique to you and where you are in your journey. Coaching sessions involve us talking through your current stressors and looking for solutions to them. When we're just getting started, we'll focus on bringing you back to center and feeling like you're out of survival mode. As we progress, we'll focus more on who you want to become. Sessions are a mix of deep reflection, practical problem-solving, and mindset shifts—plus you’ll get unlimited text support between meetings.
How do I know if divorce coaching is right for me?
If you’re asking big questions like “Who am I now?” or “How do I even begin again?”, coaching might be exactly what you need. It’s for people who are ready to stop spinning and start rebuilding.
