About Tara:
At the intersection of neuroscience, polyvagal theory, prayer, and lived-in, experiential faith lies a path to fullness of joy – to deep healing – to a vibrant, thriving life regardless of circumstances. How do I know? Because I’ve done the work and have seen the transformation for myself. Now, it is my privilege to create space for others on the ongoing journey toward Becoming Brighter. – Tara
Tara has a background in education, extensive volunteer and paid ministry roles, and nonprofit leadership. She holds certifications in Christian life coaching and nonprofit leadership coaching, spiritual direction, and formational care.
Tara brings a unique blend of approaches to her clients based both on her education and her personal investment of thousands of hours of study and practice. She loves to work with women from all walks of life, but has a particular passion for working with women who are processing loss/grief, are in a family dedicated to full time ministry, or have children with special needs. She also has a tender heart for those who find themselves in a season of spiritual upheaval: perhaps the patterns of a faith journey that have felt familiar and solid suddenly are shifting, and it’s causing a lot of internal disruption. Some spiritual writers refer to this season as “The Dark Night of the Soul” or “The Wall.”
Tara has been honored to be a safe place for women to honestly confront the complexity of their circumstances and discover God in the midst of their everyday lives. Together with the direction of the Holy Spirit, Tara supports women as they apply concrete, hope- and faith-fueled practices to move in and through each shifting season.
Originally from Chicago and Kansas City, Tara now enjoys spending time with four generations of family in North Dakota. She, her husband, daughter, mother-in-law, and two doodles all share the same home, where Tara practices coaching and spiritual direction in-person and online. Tara loves getting to spend lots of time with her grandson and his parents; volunteering in the community; watching a good who-dun-it, and reading and journaling. She’s also always up for lingering with friends over an almond-milk flat white or a great keto+paleo meal.
Why "Becoming Brighter"?
And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 MSG
Becoming Brighter comes from the picture in 2 Corinthians 3:18 of a life being transformed in God's presence. We don't become brighter by trying harder to change ourselves. We become brighter as we turn toward God, learn to recognize His presence, and allow His love to transform us from the inside out.

Testimonials
Tara helps women push through the walls and roadblocks that have kept them from growth in what God has for their future. In my personal experience working with Tara, she guided me with the Holy Spirit to dig in with kindness and gentleness that didn't push or prod but kept me going as far as I was willing to go while honoring my boundaries. She worked so well with my personality, which made it extremely beneficial. She helped me see what God wanted me to see.

Tara’s coaching during one of the toughest periods in my life–the loss of my spouse–has been invaluable. She guided me in capturing and redirecting my thoughts, shaping every decision I make. This transformative process has genuinely altered my mindset and behavior. I wholeheartedly suggest it to those seeking a deeper walk with God and the breaking of unhealthy habits. I now approach the future with renewed hope. And if a 57 year old like me can change, anyone can.

I can trust Tara to hear from Jesus because she spends time each day reading and studying God’s word. The Holy Spirit leads her to ask questions that help me grow spiritually and draw closer to God.
Tara doesn’t solve my problems; she teaches me to go to the Father and ask him for help. She guides me through strategies and allows time and space for me to rely on Jesus for my answer.

Tara Wiley is a God-gifted woman! Her coaching style is such a well-balanced form of spirituality and logic. I have grown so much in my spiritual healing and knowledge due to Tara guiding me and giving me scripture to reflect on. I also appreciate how she gives logical resources to me after each session, like how to calm my nervous system with a butterfly hug and words of affirmation. I thought it was a little silly until I tried it. (Trust me it works.) Another way she’s helped is walking me through a process on how to properly curate a life change. Tara is a gifted, personable, and understanding woman! Anyone would be blessed to be coached by her!
