About

You don't have to have everything figured out to take your next step.

Welcome to Still Waters Mental Wellness Coaching! I'm Aimee Potter, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I offer a compassionate space for adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Together, we'll work toward your goals - whether that means building confidence, setting healthier boundaries, creating supportive routines, or finding direction during a life transition. Our sessions focus on practical tools and manageable steps you can use in everyday life.

My approach is rooted in Christian values and compassion. Faith and prayer can be included if you desire, and you are welcome wherever you are in your faith journey.

Sessions are offered entirely online for adults 18 and older. Coaching supports personal growth and does not replace therapy or mental health treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is mental wellness coaching?
Mental wellness coaching is a supportive, goal-oriented process that helps you grow, heal, and move forward in your life. Unlike therapy, coaching focuses on present challenges, personal development, and creating practical steps toward change.
How is coaching different from therapy or counseling?
Coaching focuses on practical goals, supportive routines, boundaries, and accountability. Therapy can also support personal growth and provides clinical assessment and treatment when needed.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, but I am not a licensed therapist. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Coaching does not replace therapy, though it may complement care from a licensed professional.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults (18+) who are:
  • Feeling stuck or overwhelmed
  • Healing from past experiences or trauma
  • Wanting to grow emotionally or spiritually
  • Seeking clarity, peace, and direction
Is your coaching faith-based?
Yes. I offer faith-integrated coaching for those who want it. This can include:
  • Biblical encouragement
  • Prayer (if requested)
  • Spiritual perspective in healing
However, I also respect where you are in your journey—nothing is forced.
Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?
Not at all. You are welcome here no matter your background.
I meet you where you are and tailor sessions to your comfort level.
What happens in a coaching session?
Sessions are conversational, supportive, and structured around you. We may:
  • Process thoughts and emotions
  • Identify patterns or barriers
  • Set goals and action steps
  • Practice grounding or coping strategies
What kinds of issues can coaching help with?
Coaching can support:
  • Emotional overwhelm
  • Life transitions
  • Trauma recovery (non-clinical support)
  • Stress and anxiety (mild to moderate)
  • Boundaries and relationships
  • Personal growth and purpose
What if I’ve experienced trauma?
You are welcome here. You do not need to share details of traumatic experiences. Coaching can focus on present-day goals, boundaries, supportive routines, and practical next steps at a pace you're comfortable with.

I do not provide trauma therapy or diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you need support processing trauma or addressing symptoms, I encourage working with a licensed mental health professional. Coaching may complement that care, but does not replace it.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
All sessions are 100% virtual, so you can meet from the comfort of your home.
How long are sessions?
Typically:
  • 45–60 minutes per session
How often will we meet?
Most clients meet:
  • Weekly or biweekly
We’ll decide together what fits your needs.
What does it cost?
The initial 20-minute consultation is free, with no obligation to purchase.

  • 60-minute Coaching Session: $65

  • 2-Session Coaching Package: Two 60-minute sessions for $120. Pay in full or choose two payments of $60.

  • 1-Month Coaching Package: Four 60-minute sessions for $240. Pay in full or choose two payments of $120.

For either payment plan, the first payment is due at checkout and the second is automatically charged two weeks later.
Is this a medical or mental health service?
No. Coaching is not therapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders.
It is a supportive, educational, and goal-focused service.
What if I’m in crisis?
If you are in crisis or need immediate help, please contact:
  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (U.S.)
  • Or your local emergency services
How do I know if this is right for me?
The best way is to schedule a free consultation call.
We’ll talk through your goals and see if we’re a good fit—no pressure.
What if I feel nervous to start?
That’s completely normal. Reaching out is often the hardest step.
You don’t have to have everything figured out—you just have to start.
