Stacy LaMorte Coaching, LLC

ADHD coaching that focuses on what’s strong, not what’s wrong.

About

Hi, I’m Stacy, an ICF PCC and PAAC PCAC Certified ADHD Coach with almost 30 years of experience helping people shift their thinking and create meaningful change—first as a K–8 classroom teacher, then as a Certified Personal Trainer, and now as a professional coach.  I created the SLaM Method™ to help my clients, whether they are executives or high school students, build new awareness around the stories they are telling themselves and how to get "unstuck" in mere seconds.

Based in New Orleans, I coach both in-person and virtually—with the same impact (though virtual clients sadly miss out on the snacks in my office). My teaching background gave me deep insight into how Executive Functioning and ADHD affect learning, life skills, work life, communication and self-perception. My “why” is to help young people and adults rewrite the stories they tell themselves about ADHD—focusing on strengths, not just struggles.

I believe in being transparent—my pricing is listed right here, so you never have to book a discovery call just to find out what I charge. Coaching should be a choice you feel good about, not an impulsive decision that later causes you "buyers remorse" (an issue that I have found commonly plagues my clients in other areas of their lives).

As a wife and mother of three, I know that peace at home starts with systems, communication, and compassion. Together, we’ll find strategies that help you leverage your Executive Dysfunction/ADHD and uncover the positives.

TL;DR?
Stacy LaMorte is an ICF PCC and PAAC PCAC Certified ADHD Coach with over 25 years of experience helping people create meaningful change. A former teacher and personal trainer, she now coaches students, adults, executives and parents using the SLaM Method™ to leverage ADHD as a strength through practical systems and compassionate support—both in-person in New Orleans and virtually.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will coaching require?
This is very individualized but, as a rule, I ask that you give coaching at least six sessions for us to have time to get to know each other in order for you to start getting the most out of coaching.
How often do we meet?
This, again, is individualized but ideally weekly initially and once you feel like you are on track to building new awareness and getting into action, we can reduce to bi-monthly, monthly, or just on an as-needed basis.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching meets you where you are presently and helps you to gain clarity and momentum to move towards your goals while therapy is more focused on dealing with things that have happened in the past and how to heal to be able to move forward. If a coach senses mental health issues are present, they should suggest that their client seek therapy. Some clients find that being in therapy and coaching at the same time can be helpful.
