I've really enjoyed my time working one-on-one with Sarah York over the past two months. Her coaching has been extremely helpful—she listens attentively and always provides thoughtful, actionable recommendations during our weekly sessions. Most importantly, Sarah keeps me accountable for the goals I set each week, which has been invaluable in maintaining momentum and achieving progress. Through our sessions, I've gained greater clarity, consistency, and confidence in working toward my objectives. From the beginning Sarah consistently listened to my concerns and knew what questions would help draw me out (and keep me focused) without prying or rushing my thought processes. Even though we worked by phone, I could tell that Sarah was listening by the questions she asked and the feedback she gave me, all of it on point. She helped me look at my concerns through different lenses, or in a different light without condemnation or impatience. I feel that working with her helped me open up to different possibilities in my life, which gives me hope for the future as a "mature adult."
I am truly grateful for the time I worked with Sarah! It was a very positive and helpful experience, which I would highly recommend to anyone looking for direction and support for any reason.

Before working with Sarah I participated in many life and weight programs. I had difficulty having them work together so progress was difficult to maintain.
With Sarah’s help in finding my motivators and anchors that helped me to clarify what actions to take. It helped me handle stress and acknowledge what needs to be nourished.
Sarah showed me ways to see things as choices - taking one choice after another has helped to clarify what actions to take to help me develop positive life skills and goals.

When I began health coaching sessions with Sarah, my initial goal was to improve sleep after decades of insomnia and other sleep-related issues. Closely related to the sleep issues were my struggles with anxiety, particularly nighttime anxiety that would make sleep more difficult to attain. At the time, I had difficulty falling asleep, often sleeping 2-4 hours and then waking up with feelings of panic and racing heart that made a return to sleep very difficult or impossible. The frustration I felt each night at my inability to calm my thoughts and just go to sleep was perhaps the most difficult part.
Sarah, through talk sessions and conversational question and answer dialog, was able to help me not only see what I really wanted to get out of these sessions, but also helped develop a plan for how to take incremental actions to effect change in my life. These changes weren't drastic, but were manageable steps that I would implement during the week. Each week, we'd discuss successes and set new goals. I looked forward to our weekly sessions, discussing challenges, celebrating victories, and planning next steps.
While I noted some improvements each week, over time the change has been astonishing. After just over three months of work, my sleep has vastly improved. Most nights, I have at least six hours of good sleep, and I have far less difficulty falling asleep. When I do wake up during the night, the panic episodes are far less frequent and less intense. The part I appreciate most of all is that I no longer feel the frustration I felt toward myself about my inability to manage stress and get sleep. At this point, the goals we set and changes I made have become habits that I happily continue because the benefit I feel during my day-to-day life is its own reward.
