Nima Imani

Executive coaching for founders navigating rapid change.

About

I help founders and technical leaders stay clear, steady, and decisive through AI disruption, fundraising pressure, team tension, and the emotional weight of building.

This is for the moments when the work is no longer only strategic — it is emotional, relational, and deeply personal.

Executive Coach · ICF ACC · Co-founder of InsightsOut · Former engineer, data scientist, and tech leader.

This is for you if you are:

  • Carrying more than your team can see
  • Navigating fast change, uncertainty, or AI disruption
  • Making high-stakes decisions without enough support
  • Feeling stuck between the company you are building and the leader you want to be
  • Exhausted by the emotional weight of being the one people look to
  • Ready to do the real work — not just the strategic work

In coaching, we work on:

  • Clear decision-making under pressure
  • Co-founder and team dynamics
  • Fundraising and investor conversations
  • Emotional resilience and nervous-system steadiness
  • Hard conversations you have been avoiding
  • Leadership identity shifts
  • Navigating the AI moment without losing your footing

How I work

Sessions are one hour. Mostly on Zoom, sometimes in person in San Francisco. I work with a small number of clients — usually between five and eight at a time — so the work stays focused and I stay present.

We work at the level of who you are being as a leader — the beliefs, emotional patterns, and ways of relating that shape your decisions — not just the tactics.

What changes

Founders I work with tend to get clearer faster, make decisions with less second-guessing, have harder conversations without the dread, and feel more like themselves again — even in the middle of hard seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this best for?
Founders, technical founders, startup leaders, and builders carrying real responsibility — especially during seasons of change, pressure, fundraising, team tension, or transition.
Is this coaching or consulting?
This is coaching. I bring founder and technology context, but the work is not about giving you generic advice. It is about helping you see more clearly, notice your patterns, and lead from a more grounded place.
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching is not therapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. We may work with emotions, stress, and overwhelm, but always in the context of leadership, building, and personal growth.
Do I need to be post-revenue?
No, but the work is most useful when you are carrying real stakes: a team, customers, investors, a serious venture, or a major transition.
Do you work in person?
Yes, sometimes in San Francisco. Most sessions happen on Zoom.
What happens on a discovery call?
We talk about what you are building, what you are navigating, and what kind of support would be useful. If there is a fit, I'll share what working together could look like.
