Why I Created The Alignment Collective™
My name is Monique Lanaux, and I created The Alignment Collective™ to support leaders navigating the real complexities of success — not the sanitized version often celebrated in leadership spaces.
With over 20 years of experience as a C-suite and senior HR executive, I have worked inside the very systems many of my clients are navigating now. I have seen firsthand how talented women — especially first-generation Black women — are expected to outperform without being properly positioned, supported, or sponsored.
The struggles are often invisible, but deeply felt:
- Being overlooked or underestimated despite a proven track record
- Receiving generic advice that ignores the intersecting realities of race, gender, and culture
- Carrying the weight of career wounds born from silence, bias, or isolation at senior levels
- Operating in survival mode when you were built for strategic leadership
