About

Coaching for well-being in midlife.

I’m Cydney Smith, founder of Midlife Nourished. For nearly two decades, I’ve coached women to make meaningful changes that support their well-being and the lives they want to cultivate.

I work with women in midlife who may be feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unclear about what they need—or who know something needs to shift in how they feel, how they care for themselves, or how they’re living.

Together, we create space to step out of the momentum of everyday life, get clear about what matters, and identify meaningful, realistic changes that support how you want to feel and live.

My approach is grounded, reflective, and practical. Midlife Nourished is rooted in the belief that well-being is something we cultivate through the choices we make, the way we care for ourselves, and the attention we give to what nourishes us.

Testimonials

“I could immediately feel Cydney’s support and genuine care for my overall health. I felt nurtured on a very deep level that goes beyond the physical nutrition of the body. Cydney definitely has a way to make sure that your soul is fed, too. This made a ton of difference to me as a mom, entrepreneur and someone who is constantly on the go.”

- J.J.

"I absolutely love Cydney. She is encouraging, kind, very positive, and helps me celebrate the little wins/progress I’m making. She helps me talk through small life changes or baby steps that continue to increase my progress towards not only my weight loss goals, but that help me live a more balanced, healthier lifestyle. She is AMAZING!!"

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from coaching?
You can expect a thoughtful, supportive space to step out of the momentum of everyday life and focus on yourself. We’ll talk about what’s happening in your life, what feels important, and where something may need to shift.
I’ll listen, ask questions, offer perspective, and gently challenge you when it’s useful. Depending on what we’re working with, I may also bring in reflection, mindfulness, somatic practices, or simple actions to try between sessions.
The goal is not to give you a list of things you “should” be doing, but to help you get clear about what well-being looks like for you in midlife and translate that into meaningful, realistic choices in your everyday life.
How does coaching work?
Coaching is a collaborative process. You bring your life, your questions, and what you’re experiencing; I bring nearly two decades of coaching experience, thoughtful questions, perspective, and practices that support a new way of showing up for yourself and your well-being.

Our conversations are shaped by what you need rather than a predetermined formula. Sometimes that means getting clear about a particular decision or challenge. Other times, we may look more broadly at your well-being, patterns, priorities, relationships, health practices, or the way you’re living.

Together, we create space for you and your well-being to become a more intentional part of the equation—and explore the choices and changes that can support how you want to feel and live.
How do I know whether Compass or ReAlign is right for me?
The Compass Sessions are designed for times when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, at a crossroads, or simply know something needs to shift. Across two coaching sessions and a short follow-up, we’ll step back and look at where you are, clarify where you want to go, and identify the shifts that can make a meaningful difference. You’ll leave with greater clarity and perspective, along with a direction and meaningful next steps to begin moving forward—or change course.

ReAlign offers a longer coaching relationship for women who want the time and support to make more significant or sustained changes in their well-being and lives. Across 3–6 months, we have space to clarify what you want, begin making changes, work with what emerges along the way, and continue realigning your choices with the way you want to feel and live.
If you’re unsure which is right for you, schedule a conversation and we can talk it through.
What kinds of things can we work on together?
The starting point is different for every woman. You might want to feel healthier and more energized, create more sustainable ways of caring for yourself, navigate a transition, make an important decision, feel less overwhelmed, reconnect with yourself, or explore what you want from this stage of your life.

Often, these things overlap. We can look at the whole picture—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, along with the relationships, responsibilities, choices, and circumstances that shape your everyday life—and decide together where your attention will make the greatest difference.
Do I need to know exactly what I want to change before we begin?
Not at all. In fact, “I know something needs to shift, but I’m not sure what” is a very good place to begin coaching.

You may know that you don’t feel like yourself, that the way you’ve been living isn’t working as well anymore, or that you want something different without being able to name exactly what that is. Part of our work can be slowing things down enough to listen, notice what’s asking for your attention, and get clearer about what you need now.

You don’t need to arrive with the answer. We can begin with where you are.
Can we talk before I decide?
Absolutely. Choosing a coach is personal, and it’s important that the relationship feels like a good fit.

You’re welcome to schedule a complimentary conversation. Bring your questions, tell me a little about what’s going on, or simply use the time to get a sense of how we connect. There’s no expectation that you make a decision during the call.
Where do coaching sessions take place?
Coaching sessions take place virtually via Zoom, so you can join from wherever you are. I encourage you to choose a comfortable, private space where you can step away from distractions and give yourself the time to be fully present.
