What is coaching?
Coaching is a supportive conversation that helps you get clear on what you want, overcome obstacles, and move forward with confidence. I serve as a thought partner who listens closely, asks the right questions, and helps you refine your own best ideas.
Is coaching like mentoring?
Not quite. A mentor usually shares advice based on their own experience. A coach doesn’t tell you what to do. I help you find your own path and the tools you need to succeed. I do have extensive professional experience and will occasionally share some of my accumulated wisdom, but the focus of our conversations is you.
Is coaching like therapy?
Coaching and therapy are different. Therapy often looks at the past to support healing, while coaching focuses on the present and future. I help you set goals, build new skills, and take action to live your best life.
Who can benefit from coaching?
Anyone looking to grow personally or professionally! Coaching is especially helpful during times of change, such as career transitions, new leadership roles, or when you want clarity and direction.
How does coaching work?
Usually we would schedule a series of one-on-one sessions. Together, we’ll explore your goals, uncover what’s holding you back, and create practical steps to move you forward.
How is coaching different from training or consulting?
Training and consulting usually provide ready-made answers or strategies. Coaching is more personalized. I draw out your own insights so that the solutions fit you and last longer.
What can I expect to gain from coaching?
Clients often walk away with more clarity, confidence, and practical tools to reach their goals. Coaching can spark fresh perspectives, unlock hidden strengths, and give you the accountability to make real progress.
Is coaching confidential? Do you have a code of ethics?
Everything we discuss in coaching is private and confidential. As a coach, I follow the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics, which sets high standards for professionalism and client care. This means your privacy is protected, with the only exception being rare cases where safety or legal requirements require disclosure.
