Lea Berry

Career coaching for experienced professionals ready to stop searching alone and start moving with intention.

About

You're good at what you do. People trust you with big projects, hard conversations, and high-stakes decisions. But somewhere along the way, the work stopped feeling like yours and now you're wondering what's next.

I'm Lea Berry, a PCC-certified career coach who helps experienced professionals in tech, consulting, and government stop spinning and start moving. Whether you're burned out, boxed in, or quietly plotting your next chapter, I'll help you get clear on what you actually want, and build a real plan to get there.

Before I became a coach, I spent years inside the machine. I worked in International Affairs for a Foreign Government, Government Affairs for the world's largest business federation, and Consulting at Deloitte. I've supported over a thousand career changers going through technical certifications and specialty Master's programs. I even traveled to around the U.S. and abroad to Saudi Arabia to teach career development. I've sat across from hundreds of smart, capable people who felt stuck but determined to find a way forward, and I've watched what happens when they finally give themselves permission to want more and go for it.

I'm a PCC-certified coach through the International Coaching Federation, which means I've logged serious hours in real coaching conversations, not just theory. My approach blends practical strategy (LinkedIn, networking, interview prep, AI tools) with the deeper work most coaches skip: the mindset shifts that actually make change stick.

I live in the wider D.C. area with my family. When I'm not coaching, you'll find me exploring new eateries, playing with my kids, cheering on a sports team, or working from my favorite coffee shop.

Testimonials

"I know this is a long-winded recommendation, but it would be a disservice not to share precisely how important Lea has been in my career journey. Because of Lea's dedication, I went from being a skeptic to an avid supporter. Now I work as a Servicenow Developer, and absolutely love what I do...and I could not have gotten here without her."

- Bailey L.

"Lea is the rare coach who gives you practical tools AND pushes you to do the inner work. She doesn't let you hide behind your resume. That's what actually made the difference for me."

- Kevin M.

"Lea, I just accepted my new role, and I'll be moving to start this June! I can't thank you enough for helping me craft my story and resume the way that you did. The focus on detail, and depth you went really made a difference in how I marketed myself to potential employers. I will continue to take that with me throughout my career!"

- Brooke D.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of clients do you work with?
I work with mid-career professionals — typically (but not always!) in their mid-30s to late 40s — in tech, consulting, and/or government (or adjacent). My clients are successful on paper but feel stuck, burned out, or ready for something different. If that sounds like you, we should talk.
Do I need to know what I want before we start?
No. That's one of the most common things I hear: "I don't even know what I want." That's completely fine — and honestly, it's the most interesting place to start. We'll figure it out together.
How is this different from other career coaches?
Most career coaches hand you a resume template and a list of job boards. I do the practical stuff too — but I also know that the thing keeping you stuck usually isn't your resume. It's the story you're telling yourself and trying to tell others about. We work on all of it!
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. I want cost to be a conversation, not a barrier. Let's discuss what works during our discovery call.
What's your coaching style?
Warm, direct, and non-judgmental. I enjoy meeting every person where they are on their journey. I've worked with professionals coming from or going to a wide variety of fields and represent a vast background of identities. All are welcome in this coaching practice.
