Lake Murray Life Coach

I’m here to help clients unlock their own potential for growth and flourishing!

About

I believe that we all were designed by God for resilience, growth, and healing. I believe that through support, reflection, and exploration everyone can unlock the strength God has given within to move from struggling to flourishing.  I partner with clients as they grow beyond where they are and move towards where they want to be. By helping the client clarify what they want to accomplish, working with them to establish their own goals, creating positive habits, and challenging faulty thinking, I assist my clients in taking steps towards transformation. Having spent much of my life struggling with mental health, I am passionate about helping others disrupt the cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is mental health coaching?
There is currently a growing need for mental health support, while access to care remains limited. Many licensed clinicians have full caseloads, leaving individuals waiting weeks—or even months—for appointments. At the same time, not everyone experiencing emotional challenges requires clinical treatment.

Many people are navigating difficult seasons such as grief, burnout, major life changes, parenting pressures, ministry/career fatigue, relationship difficulties, or emotional stress. While they may not need therapy or other clinical services, they often benefit from intentional, structured support and guidance.

This is where a Professional Mental Health Coach can play an important role.

A Professional Mental Health Coach is a trained, non-licensed professional who partners with clients to establish goals, develop resilience, strengthen healthy routines, and apply practical strategies for personal growth, all within a clearly defined ethical scope of practice.

Mental health coaching is designed to complement—not replace—licensed clinical care. Coaches do not diagnose mental health conditions, provide therapy, treat trauma, manage addiction recovery, or prescribe medication. When a client’s needs extend beyond the scope of coaching, the coach helps connect them with an appropriately licensed mental health professional.

What areas do you offer coaching in?
  • Individual
  • Premarital
  • Marriage
  • Family
  • Teens and Young Adults
  • Life transitions
What is the coaching process like?
Each session begins by identifying your top priority and where you may be struggling. Together, we'll build on your strengths, address challenges, and explore practical strategies for moving forward. We'll finish by setting clear goals and actionable steps to help you make progress.
How much does a session cost?
The cost is $40 for each one hour session.
Can someone contact you before setting up a session?
You are welcome to email me at [email protected].
How is the coaching relationship ended?
Once you feel like you are coping better or are comfortable moving forward on your own, we can dissolve the relationship. It would be your decision but I will be available to offer input during the process.
Am I obligated to a certain amount of sessions once we start?
No. I prefer to see clients at least 3 times but if it is not a good fit there is no obligation to continue.
What if I need more than a coach?
I am part of a network of care givers, counselors, therapists and more that I would be glad to refer you to if needed.
How much notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session?
We ask for at least 12 hours notice before cancelling or rescheduling a session. If less than 12 hours notice is given, a $20 cancelation fee may apply.
