Testimonials
"I’ve always loved art, but before our sessions I felt completely blocked. Deep down I didn’t really believe my goal was possible, and I knew I needed guidance to move forward.
Working with Emily has been transformative. She’s helped me shift from thinking ‘this isn’t possible for me’ to genuinely feeling ‘yes, this really is possible’ and seeing the steps unfold clearly. Emily reflects my own words back in such a way that I can see exactly where I’ve been holding myself back. Step by step, she’s helped me find my own rhythm and release old ideas about what I thought I should be doing, based on identities and opinions I’d picked up in the past.
The coaching feels incredibly empowering because it’s completely focused on what works best for me as an individual.
I feel lighter, clearer, and genuinely excited about what’s possible. I can finally unravel the old thoughts and ideas that were holding me back, and take action that feels aligned with who I really am.
If you are thinking of working with Emily do it! Be open and trust Emily to guide you in a way that works for you. The space she creates is so supportive and personalised that you start to see not just what your goal is, but how you can actually live it.”

Having some experience of offering coaching myself, I had a coaching session about three months ago and found it really useful. So when I saw that Emily Robertson offers an introductory meeting, I was curious to learn more about what she does and how she does it. As a therapist, I’m always looking for new ways to learn, grow and reflect — especially when it means stepping outside what feels most familiar. This felt like a valuable chance to do just that.
What I thought was going to be a conversation about how Emily works seamlessly slipped into an opportunity to put into words what matters to me about my future. Along the way, we reflected on the difference between counselling and coaching. Counselling often looks back, exploring past experiences, relationships and patterns to make sense of the present. Coaching, by contrast, looks forward, focusing on possibilities, choices and practical steps to move ahead. Both are valuable, but this session with Emily reminded me how energising coaching can feel when you’re ready to explore what’s next.
Emily has a way of gently guiding the conversation so it never feels forced. She creates space to move towards clarity and possibility by holding a warm, welcoming environment where it feels safe to slow down, talk openly and explore things from a different angle. Her thoughtful questions gave me the opportunity to consider different perspectives and reflect.
Some of the reflections she skilfully prompted included:
What happens when there’s no fixed agenda — could that feel uncertain, or might it open up new possibilities?
What pressures do we carry unnecessarily, and what would it feel like to put some of them down?
How much of our lives are shaped by systems and structures we rarely question?
Whose voices are heard most, and how can space be made for the quieter ones?
What difference does it make to give ourselves permission to pause and reflect?
One phrase Emily used has stayed with me: fall in love with your life again. That perfectly captures the hopeful, grounded energy she brings to her coaching.
If you’re looking for a coach who combines warmth, curiosity and real insight, I’d highly recommend connecting with Emily Robertson. She has a real gift for helping people see things differently and take steps forward with clarity and confidence.
Sometimes the most valuable gift we can give ourselves is simply an opportunity to stop, reflect and look forward.
