About
Derik Heumann joins Sequoias with 20+ years of experience leading himself, teams, and organizations. Derik’s passion for organizational leadership and developing healthy teams started at age 11 through Boy Scouts of America. Derik has served and held positions within churches, non-profits, and academic institutions. Derik is a lifelong learner, an entrepreneurial leader, church planter, pastor, trainer, and coach.
Derik holds M.Div. and M.A. degrees, along with a leadership certificate from Asbury Theological Seminary, is a certified coach and trainer through Forge America, Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI), and Mission Igniter. Derik also serves covocationally both as Lead Pastor of Evergreen Church and Director of Training for Mission Igniter: a church planting incubator. Derik is an ICF certified coach.
Derik, his wife Kim, and 3 children live in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

We want YOU as an executive leader of your organization to lead from health, clarity, and faithfulness to Jesus. Monthly coaching can help you unlock untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership in order to lead more faithfully and fruitfully to the glory of God. We will utilize Gallup Strengthsfinders and Working Genius Assessments to aid in the process.
