Deanna Carpentier

I help women in midlife who are wondering "What now?" gain clarity, build momentum, and step confidently into their next chapter.

About

You’re Not Lost. You're In Transition.

For years, your life had a clear structure.
A clear role.
A clear sense of who you were and where your time and energy belonged.

And now... something has shifted.

Maybe your kids need you less.
Maybe your career no longer fits.
Maybe you’ve simply reached a point where you’re asking deeper questions.

And you keep coming back to the same thought:

What now?

Let's be clear.

You’re not broken.
You’re not behind.

You’re in transition.

This Is Where Most Women Get Stuck

Women don’t get stuck because they lack ideas.

They get stuck because this stage of life has no structure.

No clear role.
No roadmap.
No next step.

So they wait.

Waiting feels responsible.
Productive, even.

You wait for clarity to show up.
For life to settle down.
For the “right time.”

But here’s the truth most women don’t realize until years have passed:

Waiting quietly turns into lost time.

Clarity doesn't show up.

Clarity is built.

I Know This Season. I’ve Lived It

I’m a mom of four.

I’ve stood in empty bedrooms after my kids left for college, watching the structure of my days begin to change.

And I found myself asking:

What now?

For a long time, I stayed in that question.

Hoping clarity would come.
Hoping I'd feel ready.

It didn't

Ready isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision.

At 50, I went back to school and became a Certified Professional Life Coach and Core Dynamics Transition Specialist.

I decided it was time to start creating my next chapter—on purpose.

This Is Where I Come In

Today, I work with women in midlife who feel like something has shifted, but aren’t sure what they want next.

Women who have spent decades showing up for everyone else, and now find themselves asking deeper questions about purpose, identity, and how they truly want to live.

They’re not broken.
They’re not behind.

They’re in a transition no one ever taught them how to navigate.

My role is simple:

Help you stop wondering and start building clarity. On purpose.

The Framework That Moves You Forward

I guide my clients through my Next Chapter M.A.P. Method™—a structured, three-phase process designed to bring clarity, direction, and momentum to this stage of life.

Rather than circling the same questions, you learn how to understand the transition you’re in, get clear on what you want, and take meaningful action toward what’s next.

What Changes When You Stop Waiting

My clients come to me because they're tired of feeling stuck, unsettled, and unsure of who they are beyond the roles they’ve lived in.

Here’s what changes:
  • Clear direction replaces constant overthinking
  • Decisions become easier and more confident
  • They stop defaulting to everyone else’s needs
  • They start building something they feel excited about
  • They trust themselves to handle what comes next

They stop asking:

“What’s wrong with me?”

And start saying:

“This is what I’m creating for myself.”

Ready to Stop Waiting?

You can keep hoping clarity shows up, or you can start building it.

The first step is a conversation.

Schedule your Clarity Call and we’ll talk about where you are, what you want, and what moving forward could look like.

No pressure.
No fluff.
Just an honest conversation and a clear next step.

You're not lost. You're in transition.

This is where your next chapter begins.

Testimonials

"Working with Deanna has been a truly transformative experience. From our very first session, she created a space that felt safe, supportive, and free of judgment. Her ability to cut through the noise and get to the heart of the thoughts we have about ourselves is nothing short of remarkable.

Deanna is not just insightful—she has a gift for uncovering the deeper truths beneath the surface. She asks the right questions, guiding you toward clarity and self-awareness in a way that feels natural and empowering. Her reassuring presence makes even the most challenging conversations feel like an opportunity for growth rather than a burden to bear.

If you’re looking for a coach who truly sees you, helps you rewrite the stories that no longer serve you, and leads you toward real transformation, Deanna is the one you want by your side. I can’t recommend her enough!"

- Kimberly J.

“My sessions with Deanna are the highlight of my week. She has a warm, supportive presence and listens deeply, offering valuable insights that invite real transformation. She has a gift for meeting people where they are and skillfully guiding them toward where they want to go next. I’m incredibly grateful to have Deanna as my coach—she has helped me grow in ways I never imagined during a time of transition and uncertainty.”

- Caren S.

I feel more grounded, less afraid of the unknown and have begun to reconnect with the parts of myself that were buried under years of raising children. Coaching has helped me to see possibilities that I hadn't considered. It has given me structure, support and a gentle accountability to help me go from feeling stuck to feeling hopeful about what's next. Coaching has been one of the best decisions I have made during this transition.

- Christine S.

When I first started coaching with Deanna, I was really struggling with trying to lose weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle consistently. I wanted to feel empowered and in control of my overall happiness & well-being.

Since coaching for the past 3 months, I notice a positive pattern of optimism and sense of accomplishment from the strategies we have discussed during our sessions. I don't feel overwhelmed by the idea of losing weight and now feel that it is an attainable goal. I still have "hiccups" with the ups and downs of everyday life, but being able to share my experiences and feelings with Deanna has been so helpful with moving forward.

The part about coaching that I find incredibly helpful is the fact that there is no judging of what I do as being wrong or right. It's life and Deanna has an easy-going personality and perspective that puts my anxiety at ease. We focus on what to do differently, not how to beat myself up for past mistakes.

- Meg V.

I highly recommend Carpentier Coaching to anyone and everyone going through the Empty Nest and (life changes in general)! She is a godsend for every mom feeling lost in this stage of life. There is no need to suffer in silence. We haven’t put ourselves first for so long that sometimes we don’t realize we can’t move forward in this stage without doing exactly that. Deanna’s coaching has been pivotal in navigating this new chapter of my life. She has truly made me feel seen and heard, and she’s consistently encouraging. While I’m still working my way through this next phase of my life, I feel certain that Deanna’s got my back. I’m no longer “stuck”. Thanks SO much Deanna!

Next Chapter Clarity Call

Ready to Get Clear on This Next Chapter? Let's Talk!

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should I start?
Start with a free Clarity Call. It's a 30-minute conversation where we'll talk about where you are, what you want for your next chapter, and whether coaching makes sense for you. There's no pressure, and you'll walk away with clarity and a concrete next step whether you decide to work with me or not.
Is coaching confidential?
Yes. Everything we discuss is completely confidential.

The only exception is if you express intent to harm yourself or someone else.
In that case, I’m required to get you appropriate support.

Outside of that, what you share stays between us.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy focuses on healing the past. Coaching focuses on moving forward.
We look at where you are, what you want next, and help you take action to get there.

If you’re dealing with significant mental health challenges, therapy is likely the better fit.

If you’re ready to move forward and want support doing it, this is for you.
Can I do coaching if I'm also seeing a therapist?
Absolutely. Therapy and coaching work really well together. Therapy often focuses on healing and processing, while coaching focuses on moving forward and taking action. They complement each other beautifully. If you're working with a therapist, just let me know so I'm aware.
What if I don't know what I want yet?
That's one of the most common things I hear, and it's exactly why coaching exists. You don't need to have it figured out before we start working together. Part of what we'll do is help you get clearer on what you truly want. Most clients come to me feeling exactly this way.
Where are you located? Do you work with people outside your area?
I'm based in the Philadelphia area, but all sessions are virtual over Zoom, so it doesn't matter where you live. I work with moms all over the country. As long as we can find a time that works for both our schedules, we're good.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my session?
You can reschedule your appointment online through my client portal with at least 24 hours notice. If something urgent comes up last minute, just reach out and we'll work it out. I'm flexible because life happens, but I expect you to treat this time as a priority.
What if coaching doesn't work for me?
Coaching requires partnership. I bring the expertise, tools, frameworks, and support. You bring the honesty and willingness to take action. If you show up and do the work, you will see results. That said, if at any point things aren't feeling helpful, we'll talk about it openly and adjust our approach. I'm as committed to your success as you are.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If after our first session you don't feel like coaching is the right fit for you, let me know and I'll refund your investment. No questions asked.
What makes your approach different from other coaches?
I’m not just a coach. I’m someone who has lived this transition.

I’m in my 50s, and I’ve experienced what happens when the roles that once defined you begin to shift and you find yourself asking,

What’s next for me?

But this isn’t just about shared experience.

I guide you through a clear, structured process using my Next Chapter M.A.P. Method™, so you’re not just thinking about what’s next, you’re actually moving toward it.

I don’t just understand how this feels.
I know how to help you move through it and start building what’s next.
