Medical education can feel like drinking out of a fire hydrant. So much to learn and figure out...and seemingly never enough time for it all.
You want to successfully navigate the training and transitions and ultimately step into your calling. Maybe you are achieving but still feeling like you will never know enough or be good enough. Maybe you feel isolated and question if you are cut out for this. You might even be feel so overwhelmed, fear failure, or even be burned out.
Imagine re-engaging with who you were when you first started this journey? Imagine gaining greater clarity about your decisions, leveraging your strengths to make progress, and sucessfully navigating all the transitions? What if you could rediscover a greater sense of purpose?
Here's what I believe: According to Ephesians 2:10, you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand. You have unique giftings and strenghts, and work that God has specifically in mind for you to do! So, you need to be able to navigate the training years without losing who you are in the process. That's why I help medical trainees and early career physicians rediscover their identity in Christ, clarify their values and strengths, and walk in their unique calling.
I have over 20 years of clinical emergency medicine experience and continue to practice telemedicine urgent care. I have served as medical school faculty and as a dean in student affairs and continue to participate in medical student education as volunteer faculty. I am an ICF Certified Coach, Coach Trainer, and Mentoring with a Coach Approach Trainer with CMDA Coaching. I completed Western Seminary’s Advanced Certified Transformational Coach Program and earned the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential with the International Coaching Federation.
