Cory Marth

I help purpose-driven individuals gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and move forward with greater intention in their personal life, relationships, leadership, and growth. My coaching approach combines thoughtful reflection, strategic guidance, practical action, and meaningful transformation.

About

I believe meaningful growth rarely happens by accident. Most people already carry the potential, wisdom, and desire for change within them, but clarity, direction, and intentional support are often missing.

My coaching approach is designed to help people slow down, think clearly, identify what may be holding them back, and move forward with greater purpose, confidence, and alignment.

Whether someone is navigating personal growth, relationships, family challenges, leadership responsibilities, business direction, or major life transitions, my goal is to create a space where honest reflection can lead to meaningful action and lasting transformation.

I value thoughtful conversation, strategic clarity, practical next steps, and growth that is sustainable rather than performative. Coaching is not about pretending life is easy. It’s about learning how to move forward intentionally through the realities, responsibilities, and opportunities in front of you.

My hope is that every conversation leaves people feeling more grounded, more hopeful, and clearer about where they want to go next.

My company does small engine repair. I've been doing alright, but in one session, Coach Cory helped me to see some weaknesses in my business model and led me to realize that I needed the courage to jump into my business and get ads for my small engine repair service. Implementing his coaching process helped me to fill my schedule with paying clients and increase my profits by almost 70%.

Coach Cory Marth, came into my life, just as I was approaching some devastating things in my life. I Praise and Thank God for Coach Cory guiding me through the treacherous waters that were ahead of me. It would prove to be another pivotal moment in my walk with Christ.

A little back story, I lost my 12 year old son Joshua in 2006. It had been a very hard, and devastating time in my life. Which still affects me today. Through all of that and other bumps in the road of life I maintained my faith(at times I would fall). Now I know alot of the suffering was self inflicted by trying to do things on my own or through well meaning advise.

It wasn't until I met Coach Cory that I learned how to turn to Jesus first, to lay things at His feet and to put on my Armor of Christ.

He taught me the Saint Patrick Breastplate Prayer which is very helpful in times of extreme stress and persecution. But most of all I learned that in these times when I myself try to get through, figure out and fix things I am only getting in the way of God's comforting plan for me. I am extending the agony of pain and suffering I must go through until I totally turn it over to God. I have learned that things do not have to be as devastating and heart wrenching as we let them get. Which in learning this has strengthens my relationship with God.

Devastating things continue to happen in life, my first reaction used to be that I would go into a highly emotional response and problem solving mode. What is it that I can do to fix it?

Thanks to Coach Cory I have learned that I am not supposed to do it alone. Now I pray, read my Bible, and put in the Armor of Christ.

I met Coach Cory about 9 years ago when he was a Pastor. I was the organist for a small congregation in Northern Illinois. Coach Cory and I had become good friends through working together. We would plan the music for worship services. Our meetings would always end with me asking why do Lutherans do such and such. I grew up as an IFB. We were KJV only. One say after asking some questions about what Lutherans believed Coach Cory said if I can show you certain things from the KJB would you change how you believe about communion and infant baptism? I said yes. I didn't think he had any concrete evidence, but to my astonishment he could. That was the day I wanted to become a Lutheran and Join the LCMS.

I have been going through a very nasty divorce. Coach Cory, with kindness and understanding has coached me through the process. My divorce is ongoing and he's there to offer spiritual and biblical advice. I've learned how to love again like Christ through his example and leadership. Coach Cory has a true coach's heart and is an exemplary friend. I'm truly blessed to have him as a spiritual leader, coach, and my best friend.

Through several conversations and suggested readings, Coach Cory has coached me on an apologist's path to CORRECT theology and a deeper walk with God!

Coach Cory was the sole pastor of our the Lutheran Church I attended while he was in northern Illinois, the last three years we lived there before moving to Tennessee. I was a member of the congregation and financial secretary of the church. I had spent a lot of time with him.

Bottom line I found Coach Cory to be a good pastor, teacher, coach, and mentor. His sermons were well laid out. He was especially good with his teaching in adult Bible studies. He seem to relate well with others in the congregation, many of whom he also coached. He did a very good job of coaching and comforting us in times of need especially through the covid crisis everyone experienced. I would have no problem having him as my pastor, teacher, or coach again.
