Rachel Mirsky
Certified Divorce Coach
About
Ten years ago, I sat right where you are sitting. I found myself with an unexpected, and very difficult, divorce after three kids and twenty years of marriage. I didn’t grow up surrounded by divorce, and I had no idea what the road ahead of me looked like.
Back when I was struggling to get through that messy and complicated process of divorce, I had wished that there was a guide or someone to help me during this confusing and emotional time.
Through learning, trial, (and a lot) of error…I made my way through and went on to create a new life of my own. Along the way, I realized that I had developed a passion for helping others through this challenging time in their lives.
When I discovered Divorce Coaching, I knew that I had found the piece that had been missing when I went through my own divorce. Divorce is a complicated process, involving a lot of emotions, and the results of your divorce can affect the rest of your life.
As a Certified Divorce Coach (CDC)…I will help you navigate the intricate world of divorce. My coaching will enable you to become a credible and organized client who is prepared for the realities of the divorce process. We will walk the path together, and I will guide you every step of the way, and help you plan for your new future.
I look forward to being your compass on this journey and helping you find your own light at the end of the tunnel.
Fondly,
Rachel M.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Divorce Coaching?
As defined by the American Bar Association, “Divorce coaching is a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate, and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decision for their future based on their particular interests, needs, and concerns.”
How Can Divorce Coaching Help Me?
A Divorce Coach is your partner to help you navigate through the difficult (and emotional) business of divorce. They are your thinking partner to walk down that path with you, helping you to organize your thoughts and questions and allowing you to be a credible client and achieve the best possible outcome from the divorce process. A Divorce Coach can also help you transition through the different stages of divorce and into the next phases of your life; whether that involves a new career, a new relationship, or just adjusting to a new way of living.
Does a Divorce Coach Replace Someone in the Divorce Process?
No. A Divorce Coach is a part of the team you will assemble to help you navigate through the divorce process. Divorce coaches work alongside attorneys, mediators, therapists, divorce financial analysts, etc. A Divorce Coach can also help you to identify which experts you may want on your team, based on your individual needs.
What About the Cost?
A Divorce Coach charges an hourly fee for sessions and often offers the option of packages, which reduces the cost further. Research has shown that utilizing a Divorce Coach throughout the divorce process, actually saves money overall – as they help clients become organized and focused for the other professionals on their team; thereby streamlining the process and reducing unnecessary billable hours.
Why Use a Certified Divorce Coach®?
Certified Divorce Coaches® must adhere to a Code of Ethics and Practice Standards enforced by the CDC Coach Board. They are the only certified divorce coaching program in existence and are recognized around the world. CDCs must undergo a rigorous certification program which includes 16 hours of yearly Continuing Coaching Education.
