About
-Cindy Schmelzenbach
"I've spent my whole life in wide open spaces - raised under the big skies of the American Southwest and shaped by years of living on the vast soul-stretching oceans of the South Pacific and Caribbean. These landscapes have formed my love for spaciousness and have taught me that we were created to have room to breathe, listen, grow and live aligned with what matters most.
As a coach, I partner with you to make space. Space to explore and step into a life marked by clarity, courage and deep authenticity. If you're sensing that it's time to expand, I invite you to this sacred pause and a fresh space to consider what's possible".
Cindy Schmelzenbach is an ICF Master Certified Coach, Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, ICF Mentor Coach, and Coach Supervisor. She holds a Master’s in Human Services Counseling and serves as Director of Education and faculty for a global ICF Level 1 and Level 2 coach education provider.
With decades of global experience and a deep belief in living deeply into the present season, Cindy partners with clients ranging from quiet world-changers to high-impact leaders. She brings presence, perspective, and a spacious sense of possibility to every coaching conversation.
Cindy is also passionate about mentoring coaches on their professional journey, offering a safe, challenging space to sharpen skills and grow with confidence and integrity.
She and her husband, Harmon, lived internationally for 28 years in the Caribbean and Asia Pacific and now call the mountains of southeastern New Mexico home. They love spending time with their kids, their grandkids and their border collie.

Testimonials
Cindy is not just a caring and compassionate mentor coach, she is a masterful mentor coach. Masterful through the tool she developed for her clients that provides them with very detailed assistance in gaining their credentialing and growing as a coach in the ways that they are seeking. Masterful in going the extra mile to partner with and serve her clients. Masterful in her thorough responses to questions that overflow with nuggets of gold from her years of experience. And masterful in her authentic encouragement toward and championing of her clients. She did not just serve as an evaluator of my coaching progress toward CPLC certification, she revolutionized my understanding of coaching and my coaching methodology. She will be a vital team member on my coaching journey going forward and I highly recommend her.

My mentoring session with Cindy was incredibly valuable. Cindy provided detailed and insightful guidance that highlighted my strengths and areas for improvement, cultivating my personal growth. The way and computer application she is using are highly professional, and the feedback was structured in an exceptionally organized manner. Cindy was well-prepared, delivering what I would consider a masterclass in mentor coaching.
Her kind and encouraging approach created a supportive atmosphere that motivated me to engage and reflect deeply on my growth. Cindy was great at creating partnerships and guided me towards self-reflection and a deeper understanding of my development areas. I wholeheartedly recommend Cindy's mentor coaching to coaches looking to improve and advance in their careers.

Cindy is highly competent coach who operates at the highest standards. She has a gentle spirit and truly cares about the success of her clients. Partnering with Cindy as a Mentor Coach was game changing for me. I grew to have a deeper understanding of the core competencies and what they can sound like in the coaching conversation. Previous to working with Cindy, I felt a lot of pressure to "get it right" but was very unsure about my skills. Through the process of working with Cindy, I grew much more confident in my abilities as a coach and am much closer to earning my credential with the ICF. Cindy's presence and partnership has made all the difference for me!

I can't recommend Cindy highly enough! She's a brilliant coach -- holding space and facilitating breakthroughs on the frontlines of leadership + life. She's also a gifted teacher, with a unique capacity to show AND tell, supporting real growth in the (coaching) students who seek her out.
Cindy's remarkable portfolio includes deep experience in cross-cultural engagement, wisdom in marketplace endeavors, and a kind of humility, good-humor, and ease that would be hard to believe -- except that it shows up wherever she does. Nab a spot on her roster; you'll see what i mean!
