Christy Boyce

For people who carry a lot — and are ready to think clearly again. Coaching rooted in safety, meaning, and what comes next.

About

You've spent years showing up for others — your family, your friends, your team, your organization. You're good at your work. And yet something feels off: a quiet erosion, a sense of misalignment and frustration, or a heaviness you keep pushing past because there's always more to do.

This is where coaching begins.

I work with leaders, healthcare professionals, and executives who carry significant responsibility — people who are often very good at supporting others, and rarely have a space designed for them. Whether you're a mid-career leader navigating role strain or a CEO working through the kind of decision that keeps you up at night, the work here is the same: slowing down enough to think clearly, and finding your footing again

I'm Christy Boyce — a coach, educator, and former respiratory therapist with 26 years experience in Canadian healthcare. I've worked in clinical practice, leadership, and system-level roles. I know the culture you're navigating: the accountability, the complexity, the emotional weight of caring work, and what it costs to absorb it for years without space to breathe.

My coaching draws on that experience — not to tell you what to do, but to ask the questions that help you find your own footing again and weave your path forward.

I am an ICF Coach-in-training, on track for certification in Fall 2026. The ICF is the global gold standard for coaching — setting ethical requirements, independent certification, and accredited training worldwide. Because I'm actively completing my credential, my rates are intentionally accessible — which means you get experienced, grounded coaching at an investment that reflects where I am in my certification journey, not what I bring to the room.

From one of my client testimonials:
"What my coaching sessions with Christy gave me was clarity. They worked like a mirror: I could hear my own thinking reflected back, examine it honestly, and adjust. The decisions I reached were genuinely mine — but they came faster and with far more confidence than they would have otherwise. That's a rare and valuable thing." R.S.

How I Work
My coaching is relational at its core. I create space where you can slow down, think clearly, and speak freely — without performance, without judgment.

Guided by psychological safety, cultural humility, and deep respect for your lived experience, I work with what's real: the patterns beneath the surface, the values that feel compromised, the identity that's shifted under the weight of a role.

I live, work, and coach on the traditional, ancestral lands of the Coast Salish people, in what is colonially known as White Rock, British Columbia. This land shapes how I think about relationship, connection and how I provide a space where you feel seen and heard — values that run through everything I do.

My Métis heritage shapes how I listen and how I hold story — rooted in relationship, respect, and continuity. You don't need to arrive with clarity. You just need to be willing to look.

Who this is for
I work with health and human services professionals, leaders, educators, and change-makers — people who carry a great deal, and have often done so for a long time.

You might be:
  • A healthcare leader who's lost the thread of why you went into this work
  • A mid-career professional facing a role transition you feel lost in
  • Someone whose identity and values feel increasingly disconnected from your day-to-day
  • A person doing important work who simply needs space to think — without having to hold everyone else up while you do it

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from coaching. You just need to sense that something needs attention.

What becomes possible
Through our work together, you can expect to:
  • Rediscover your purpose and values
  • Reconnect with what matters most — and make decisions from that place
  • Build confidence in complex, high-stakes environments
  • Understand patterns that are keeping you stuck
  • Move through transitions with more clarity and less second-guessing
  • Lead — yourself and others — with greater intention

Testimonials

I came to coaching at a moment of real noise — external conflict, and a strategic reset after a fast growth phase across two businesses. A lot was moving at once.

What my coaching sessions with Christy gave me was clarity. They worked like a mirror: I could hear my own thinking reflected back, examine it honestly, and adjust. The decisions I reached were genuinely mine — but they came faster and with far more confidence than they would have otherwise. That's a rare and valuable thing.

- R. S.

"Working with Christy as my career coach helped shift my mindset and gave me a greater sense of control over my professional direction. Before coaching, I felt plateaued and unsure of how to move forward, almost as though I was simply along for the ride rather than actively steering my path.

One of the biggest takeaways was realizing that we are never truly stuck. Through thoughtful conversations with Christy, I learned the importance of prioritizing goals, creating an action plan, and following through consistently. Reflecting on past accomplishments also helped build my confidence and reminded me that I am capable of achieving difficult goals.

Coaching increased my self-awareness and changed the way I view my weaknesses; I now see them as opportunities for growth rather than limitations. I especially appreciated Christy’s reflective questions, which helped me recognize patterns in my thinking and determine whether they were helping or creating unnecessary stress.

Overall, this experience gave me greater clarity, confidence, and direction in my professional life. I only wish I had started coaching sooner."

- B.H.

"I am incredibly grateful for the wisdom, guidance, and support Christy has given me throughout my journey. Her ability to coach with both compassion and insight had a meaningful impact on my growth, not only personally but also professionally.

She has a rare gift for helping people see their potential more clearly while providing the encouragement and direction needed to move forward with confidence. Thank you for sharing your knowledge so generously and for always creating a space where I felt supported, challenged, and inspired.

Your guidance has truly helped shape this chapter of my life, and I cannot thank you enough for the time, care, and wisdom you’ve invested in me."

- Dana

Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?
Coaching is a confidential, collaborative conversation focused on reflection, clarity, and forward movement. It supports you to think more deeply about your goals, challenges, and decisions, using your own experience and insight as the foundation.
How is coaching different from therapy or counselling?
Coaching is not therapy. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical advice. Coaching focuses on the present and future—supporting awareness, decision-making, and growth—while honouring your lived experience and current context.
Who do you typically work with?
I work with professionals, leaders, and people in helping roles who are navigating complexity, change, or transition. Many of my clients work in healthcare, education, or public service, though you do not need to work in these sectors to benefit from coaching. I also have clients who are CEOs working in corporate or non-profit environments.
What kinds of topics can I bring to coaching?
You can bring whatever feels important or unresolved, including:
  • Leadership challenges or role transitions
  • Navigating change or uncertainty
  • Values, purpose, and identity questions
  • Decision-making and priorities
  • Work–life boundaries
  • Professional growth and confidence
Each session is guided by what matters most to you
What happens in a coaching session?
Sessions are conversational and reflective. I ask thoughtful questions, help you notice patterns, and create space to explore what may be unclear or hidden. Together, we work toward clarity and next steps that make sense for you
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on your goals and preferences. Some people come for a short series to work through a specific issue, while others choose ongoing coaching for reflection and support over time. We can revisit this as your needs evolve.
How do I know if coaching with you is a good fit?
Fit matters. I encourage a brief introductory conversation so you can ask questions and get a feel for how I work before deciding. Get started by booking an introductory conversation so you can ask any questions you may have.
