Who does Mary Ellen generally work with?

While my leadership and coaching skills are applicable to most anyone, I have had the greatest success in working with people who aspire to greater levels of responsibility and achievement. I have a proven track record of helping to advance women in their corporate careers--especially those women striving to move from first-level management to middle-management+ job levels.

What is the duration and structure of you coaching programs and packages?

My typical leadership coaching engagements range from 3 months to 12 months, involving at least two 45 minute sessions per month. Programs are tailored to your specific goals and may include key components such as assessments, role playing and action planning.

What are you coaching qualifications and certifications?

In addition to my doctoral degree in leadership, I hold the Associate Coach Credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF), demonstrating rigorous training and adherence to their ethical standards. Additionally, I am certified by the Coaches Training Institute with the Co-Active Coach Certification.

What is your coaching approach or methodology?

My approach is client-centered and action-oriented, drawing upon a variety of methodologies or frameworks such as the GROW model, strengths-based coaching, social styles, etc. I use powerful questioning, active listening, and assessment tools to facilitate your growth and self-discovery.

What does coaching with Dr. Mary Ellen cost?

After a complimentary introductory/exploratory session, I offer 3 different 'package' options. Each of these packages and costs are noted. If we work together, I will provide a 'coaching agreement' that we will maintain together.

What are your areas of expertise or specialization within leadership coaching?

My primary areas of expertise include executive presence, awareness of potential 'detailers', leading and navigating through change, addressing the 'imposter syndrome' and building high-performing teams. I have a strong track record in helping leaders move from entry-level to mid-management positions and from mid-management to executive-level positions.

What is your philosophy on the coach-client relationship including confidentiality and trust?

You are in charge of your life. I believe in creating a safe, confidential, and trusting partnership where you feel empowered to explore your challenges and develop your leadership potential. Confidentiality is paramount to our work.

What do I consider a successful outcome of the coaching partnership?

I believe that a successful coaching partnership empowers each client/coachee to become more resourceful, self-aware, and effective in achieving their aspirations, leading to lasting positive change in their lives and work. Your ability to navigate your future successfully and independently is the ultimate measure of success.

My role as coach is to facilitate this journey of self-discovery and empowerment, rather than providing direct answers or solutions. I am happiest when each client/coachee achieves their self-identified goals and experiences meaningful progress and sustainable positive change in the areas of coaching they seek.

Progress is measured through collaboratively defined goals, regular check-ins on action steps, and reflection on observed behavioral changes and achieved outcomes. We will establish clear metrics for success at the beginning of our engagement.
