About

Hello, my name is Lisa. As a Certified Grief Educator, I recognize that grief is not a problem to be solved but a significant human experience deserving of respect. When individuals face profound loss, they require understanding and support rather than solutions.

As a Certified Grief Educator I am committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.

I have completed a certification program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. I will bring his unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief.

Having navigated my own experiences of loss, I am aware of the feelings of loneliness and isolation that often accompany grief. My practice was established to provide a supportive environment where clients may express themselves freely, without judgment or pressure to move on prematurely.

I maintain that grief has no predetermined timeline, nor a singular correct approach. Everyone’s grief is unique and valid, and it is important to acknowledge that everyone manages their process in a way that is right for them. The objectives may include learning to coexist with grief more peacefully, fostering connections to reduce isolation, or gaining insight through education alongside others' experiences.

  •      Support groups are available as an option, though participation is entirely voluntary; client comfort is paramount.

Together, we will thoughtfully explore your grief, honor your loved one, and identify strategies to manage pain constructively. I deal Clients for me are
individuals experiencing significant loss who want practical guidance, education, and actionable tools to rebuild their lives. Rather than seeking medicalized treatment, they desire a safe, non-judgmental space to process their emotions, establish new routines, and learn how to live alongside their grief.

Key Characteristics of Ideal Clients
  • Seeking Practical Support: They want concrete coping strategies and gentle structure rather than traditional psychotherapy.

  • Rebuilding After Loss: Whether dealing with bereavement (death of a loved one) or non-death loss (divorce, career change, or a major life transition), they are ready to figure out how to integrate their loss into their "new normal".

  • Ready for Collaborative Action: While they may be in the depths of pain, they have the baseline emotional capacity to actively participate in the coaching process.

  • Value-Driven: They are often looking to find meaning in their new reality and redefine their personal identity.

A range of session types and payment options are available, and please be assured that financial constraints will not prevent access to my services.
I have an abundant access to community resources and connections. I am happy to collaborate with other resources you are already participating with or find other resources and services that can broaden your journey so we can be as successful as possible in reaching your goals.

 We are all stronger together.

Testimonials

“I found ‘my way out’ of feeling stuck in my grief spiral and focused on things that mattered to me the most. I’ve gained clarity, confidence, and I’m happier now after the support groups provided.”

- A. Zucker

I was avoiding certain places because they were reminding me of my loved one, I am so grateful to say that after some commitment and hard work I have revisited these places and found meaning in them rooted in love not painful memories. I still have my hard days but don't we all? I am so happy I have a tool box now to support me in those moments.
